Moments from meetings with the Municipal Director of Education in Ferizaj – Mr. Afrim Llabjani, and the Municipal Working Group occurred on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

The ECMI Kosova Project Team was invited to assist in finalizing the Draft-Municipal Action Plan for the Prevention of School Dropout 2024-2027.

As part of our ongoing project objectives and joint efforts, we were pleased to contribute by collaboratively reviewing the draft and addressing specific terms and issues highlighted by the Working Group.
ECMI Kosova team offered insights on integrating inclusive education strategies, which led to a productive discussion on enhancing the plan’s effectiveness.
Additionally, the team explored broader educational challenges in Ferizaj, highlighting the importance of continued coordination and cooperation with Learning Centers.
These discussions emphasized the need for robust support systems and community engagement to combat dropout rates.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to refining the action plan and ensuring comprehensive educational support, reflecting our shared dedication to improving education in Ferizaj.
The Director of the MED indicated that they will soon advance the Draft MAP to the next stages of Municipal Assembly procedures.
These actions are part of the project: “Supporting continuous access and retention in public education in 15 municipalities of Kosovo”, financially supported by the European Union in Kosovo in partnership with the Unicef Kosovo Programme.
