In an effort to strengthen the fight against school dropouts in pre-university education, today, October 31, 2024, ECMI Kosovo’s Project Manager, Mr. Arben Osmani, met with representatives of the Directorate of Education in Gjilan to discuss the Municipal Action Plan.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that the online platform for verification of diplomas issued by the University of Mitrovica North is now live as a fully integrated service on e-Kosova. This achievement results from months of hard work, dedication, and collaboration across teams, making the process of diploma verification more accessible and efficient for everyone involved.

Mr. Milos Subotic, a senior official at the University of Mitrovica North and our primary contact for diploma verification, was detained by the police around 1:00 a.m. last night and reports being physically assaulted by two police officers while held at the station. He was released at approximately 3:30 a.m.

The police report states that Mr. Subotic was allegedly disrupting the public area on Car Lazar promenade, risking damage to a local business and refusing both police orders and an alcohol test, leading to his escort to the station.
