On March 11, an important event unfolded during the ongoing implementation of the ECMI Kosovo Project. The ECMI Kosovo Project team convened for a working meeting with the Municipal Working Group and MED representatives in the municipality of Gjilan.

ECMI Kosovo has been instrumental in shaping Kosovo’s journey towards peace and democracy, notably through significant contributions to high-level political advisory roles and peacebuilding efforts. Our involvement in the Kosovo status negotiation process, facilitated by UN Special Envoy Martti Ahtisaari, has underscored our dedication to advocating for minority rights, autonomy, and comprehensive community protections. Leveraging our expertise, ECMI Kosovo has engaged in complex political dialogues, aiming to craft policies and agreements that foster long-term stability, reconciliation, and inclusivity across Kosovo’s multifaceted society.

For over a decade, ECMI Kosovo has stood at the forefront of promoting human rights and providing legal aid to marginalized and vulnerable groups in Kosovo. Our unwavering commitment to justice and equality is reflected through a spectrum of projects that have significantly influenced the enhancement of legal frameworks and institutional practices, aiming to ensure justice and equal rights for all.

ECMI Kosovo actively advances economic empowerment and creates meaningful employment opportunities for marginalized communities across Kosovo. By implementing innovative projects, we address the crucial need for sustainable livelihoods and economic development within these communities. Our initiatives, such as digital entrepreneurship training and recycling programs, aim to provide immediate employment opportunities and lay the groundwork for long-term economic resilience and growth.
