ECMI Kosovo Attends PIAKOS Workshop and Signing Ceremony
On June 5th, 2024, the ECMI Kosovo team attended the PIAKOS Workshop and Contract Signing Ceremony at the Hotel Emerald, Prishtina. This event, organized by the Public Information and Awareness Services for Vulnerable Communities in Kosovo (PIAKOS) and implemented by Advocacy Training and Resource Center – ATRC, marked the kickoff for a crucial campaign aimed at enhancing property rights in Kosovo.
The workshop, titled “Partnership Oasis: Fostering Resilient Cooperation’s through Civil Society Organizations,” focused on improving access to land and property rights. It provided a platform to outline activities, operational procedures, roles, and geographic coverage, fostering collaboration among implementing partners.
PIAKOS, financed by the World Bank through ATRC, aims to provide comprehensive public information and counseling services, promote property registration, and strengthen tenure security for vulnerable communities in Kosovo. By promoting these rights, the project aspires to stimulate socio-economic growth and lay the groundwork for a more equitable society.
ECMI Kosovo’s participation in this campaign relies on its core competence: working with non-majority communities, particularly with Serb and Serbian-speaking communities, with an emphasis on educational institutions operating in the Serbian language.
ECMI Kosovo is thrilled to be part of this essential campaign. The signing ceremony marked the beginning of a robust partnership aimed at achieving these critical goals. We look forward to the positive impact this collaboration will have on the ground.
