Reflecting on Progress and Shaping Future Plans in Kosovo
On June 27, 2024, at “Sirius” Hotel in Pristina, ECMI Kosovo, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Information-MESTI, organized a pivotal follow-up meeting with school and municipal PRTANs (Dropout Prevention Teams) and Learning Centres from the 15 targeted municipalities.
The meeting’s agenda focused on reviewing the progress made since the initial workshop on March 28, 2024, and discussing the general situation at the end of the 2023/24 school year.
Despite the known challenges, participants shared data showcasing positive developments and success stories from their joint efforts to support students in need, particularly those from marginalized communities.
The commitment and cooperation among stakeholders remain strong, with discussions highlighting the ongoing will for change and additional dedication. However, there is a recognized need for the profiling of Centres and the formalization of working relationships to achieve even greater and more sustainable results.
At the conclusion of this meeting, ECMI Kosovo and MSETI briefed participants on the upcoming activities planned for the new school year.
Together, we are dedicated to ensuring continuous access and retention in public education, fostering academic success for all students.
These sessions are part of the project: “Supporting continuous access and retention in public education in 15 municipalities of Kosovo”, financially supported by the European Union in Kosovo in partnership with the Unicef Kosovo Programme.
